Cool Atlanta University, 49 Others Listed As Illegal Institutions by National Universities Commission

The National Universities Commission, NUC, yesterday disclosed that no fewer than 50 illegal degree-awarding institutions are currently operating across the country.
A report on the website of the university regulatory agency, signed by its Executive Secretary, Prof. Julius Okojie, warned the public, especially parents and prospective undergraduates to beware of the illegal institutions so as not to fall prey to their activities.
The commission said the affected institutions, which it described as ‘Degree Mills’ were never licensed by the Federal Government and consequently closed down for violating the Education (National Minimum Standards etc) Act CAP E3 Law of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
