It seems things are no longer at ease between the Founder and General Overseer of the Daystar Christian Center, Pastor Sam Adeyemi and the leadership of the church over the insistence of the G.O to purchase a private jet so as to measure up to some of his colleagues that junket around in the flying toy.
News emanating from the church has it that when Pastor Sam celebrated his birthday on the 3rd of January, 2014, he had reiterated a wish he had made last year to acquire a private jet, but the wish was turned down by the leadership of the church who frowned at such a request for a birthday gift.
So with the renewed request, the board again stood their feet down and insisted Pastor Sam should forget such luxury since there are so many things the church needs to do which requires lots of money.
A source in the church confirmed that the Pastor has already made inquiries and has gotten good offers from some international companies that are willing to sell the jets and Pastor Sam is said not to be willing to miss the offer because he considers affordable.
We hear he is eyeing either a Jet Hawker 900XP, which goes for $20m, about N3.2b, or a Gulfstream G450, estimated to be $15m, around N2.4b, the same type owned by Bishop David Oyedepo.
